Hypno man: I put myself into trance

A CIRCUS performer was locked in a trance for five hours after he hypnotised himself while practising his routine in a mirror.

Sword swallower Hannibal Helmurto, 38, was unaware of being transfixed until wife Joanna found him.

She said: “I found him just like a zombie – staring at himself in the mirror.

“His pupils had gone really small, which is a sign of someone under hypnosis.”

Unable to rouse him herself, Joanna, 22, had to call the hypnotherapist who recently trained him to talk him out of the trance over the phone.
